After an epic house hunt through the pretty English counties of Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset, I’m excited to say we finally found our lovely new home in the stunning surroundings of Wiltshire!
Being a Cotswold* girl originally, I’m very happy to be back enjoying the delights the countryside has to offer and you’ll mostly find me roaming the local lanes and fields in my very muddy wellies!
Now after a few months of unpacking and exploring, I’m feeling right at home here in the Nadder Valley, owing it’s name to the river that runs between Ludwell (South Wiltshire) all the way through to the historic city of Salisbury, where it meets the River Avon.
Due to the timing of our relocation (in the middle of a global pandemic!) we have yet to really sample the delights Wiltshire has to offer, but I’m very much looking forward to getting to know the area and visiting nearby towns such as Shaftesbury and then heading further afield to Southampton and Bournemouth for a paddle in the sea!
So thank you very much to all the lovely locals who have greeted us with a cheery hello and made us feel very welcome!
(*I grew up in Hook Norton in a pub that was once a pub owned by the award winning ‘Hooky’ Brewery!)
